Sisi Camping

You are here: Home arrow Location
Sisi Camping is situated on the north east coast of Crete, some 40km east of the ferry-port and airport in Heraklion, the capital city.  The campsite lies just outside the traditional fishing village of  Sisi, in a  secluded spot in front of the sea, with a profusion of trees and plants providing shade and privacy. From here it is approximately 800m/15 minutes walk to the village of Sisi with its beautiful natural harbour, colourful fishing boats, and tempting selection of bars, restaurant and shops.

For those who like things a little livelier, the tourist centres of Malia, Stalis and Hersonissos are only a short drive up the coast, with a wide variety of bars nightclubs and discos for the energetic. There are also plenty more shops and restaurants here too, as well as long sandy beaches with various activities on offer all along this stretch of coast - from go-carting to bungee-jumping, horse riding to scuba-diving, there really is something for everyone!

For the culturally minded, the history and archaeology of Crete provide a  wealth of experiences: tour the Minoan palace of Knossos, visit the fabulous treasures in the museums, walk round the Venetian fort in Heraklion, and see the legendary birthplace of Zeus high in the mountains.  Or if all this sounds too exhausting, simply lie in the sun, take a refreshing swim in the sea-view pool and enjoy the sunset, or just sip on a cocktail while you watch the world go by!

Sisi Camping is an ideal location for your holiday - relaxed and friendly, in a peaceful setting, but within easy reach of major attractions, entertainment and beaches.
